Their latest album on Sub Pop, Everything in Between, with album packaging designed by longtime collaborator Brian Roettinger (Hand Held Heart) is once again a must have piece, genre defying and crucial. No Age and Brian will discuss their collaborative process and ideas that went into the first five No Age EPs, the Grammy nominated Nouns, Losing Feeling, and their latest full length Everything In Between and why doing it FOR yourself really matters.
Brian Roettinger: “ Some people get really confused,” admits Brian Roettinger, artistic director for the Southern California Institute of Architecture. “They don't know if I’m a designer making art or an artist doing designs.”
Brian Roettinger works primarily as a graphic designer. He received a BFA in graphic design from CalArts in 2004. His work has been exhibited in Los Angeles at Hope (2008) and Gallery 1520 (2008) and was included in Mark-Municipal Art Acquisitions 2003: Graphic Design, Stedelijk Museum, (2004). Roettinger acted as the design director of the Southern California Institute of Architecture from 2004 until 2010.
