Max Bemis
Max Bemis
Max Bemis is a wildcard if there every was one. Never being the type to settle on one particular style, Bemis has filled a long career into small amount of time. He began his music journey playing piano, listening to Fugazi and Smashing Pumpkins and forming a punk band in high school. He is currently working on a solo act, has a super duo alongside Chris Conley of Saves The Day called Two Tongues, and his most famous endeavor, Say Anything, has enjoyed accolades from the masses for the past 11 years. Say Anything's 2004 album "...is a Real Boy" received high praise for Bemis's acute song writing talents, sharp tongue, and charm.

In 2008, Max embarked on a mission to write and record songs that had been inspired by ideas submitted by his fans. His goal was to tighten the gap between the artist and his fans. An intriguing concept for certain, this was a way to not only keep his creative juices flowing, but enable the songwriter to remain static in the process. Although his faith has been a hot topic among blogs and music news outlets, it is not really a main driver in his lyrics; Bemis relies on using sarcasm and a clever dialogue to write his songs. Focusing as of late on his solo projects, expect to see Bemis continue to work, and work hard. It is certain that we are not going to be forgetting this talent any time soon.

The Trophy Fire
Noise Pop alumni The Trophy Fire are bringing back their guitar heavy pop to this year's stage. Ben Flanagan, along with brothers Adam and John Schuman, have been pleasing audiences with their energetic live shows, and smart songwriting for the past several years—recently having played shows with The Soft White Sixties, Far, and Dredg. The Trophy Fire have worked closely with local label Talking House Records, and are no doubt poised to make 2011 an eventful year.

Westwood & Willow
San Francisco natives and brothers Sean & Kevin Sullivan are bringing their emotive folk stylings to the Noise Pop audience. With a few West Coast tours under their belts, the two have gain attention through the release of their first album, Doorways, Vehicles and Markets, and a spot at the Left Coast Live music fest in San Jose alongside OK Go, Yo La Tengo, and more. With their music recently featured on local music blog The Bay Bridged, it is clear that people are taking notice to these talented brothers.

Dave Smallen
A few years ago, Dave Smallen was signed to Capitol Records and touring the United States in his band Street To Nowhere. After that brief bout with major label success, Dave has come back to his hometown of Oakland, CA and is going back to his roots of writing songs and playing shows throughout California. This talented young man has seen his star rising for years, and although he is not on a major label now, there is no dispute of his fantastic songwriting ability and charisma as he is still drawing large crowds wherever he performs.
